Much of my current work addresses the influence suburban planning and corporate landscaping has on our view of nature. From strip malls and business parks to off-ramps and well groomed bedroom communities, nature is used to soften these hard mundane and repetitive designs. We acknowledge that the artificial and common are not aesthetically pleasing and contrary to the American vernacular, so we use bushes, shrubs and trees to mask our demand for efficient living.
