Artist Statement

As one endeavors to achieve the beauty
ideals of his contemporary culture, he submits
to their parameters and participates in
maintaining established social mores.

Perhaps submission is, in actuality
an act of violence inflicted upon one's self
by an internal subconscious aggressor.
