Artist Statement

My work is involved with the outward appearances of anonymous people. Not specifically their clothing or physical look, but some evidence of their character shown through artifacts they have used or possessed, or documentation of places they have been. In each work, this anonymous person is a protagonist whose identity is constructed by a narrative that describes their relationship to other people and the environment around them. Although based on typical models of existing things, these artifacts that focus on the protagonist cover a fictional environment, one that is subjective, and even fantastical.
