Over a two year period, artists Niki Lederer and Hannes Priesch traveled between New York, Vienna, Bratislava and Toronto to photograph both emerging and established artists for the Death in the Studio project. In total, 61 artists accepted the invitation to stage their own studio death scenario and then have Lederer+Priesch photograph the scene. The resulting “studio death snapshots” combine black humor and reportage from an artists’ point of view.
